A hearbreaking loss for Petron gives Talk n' Text the number 1 slot

it's only 3.7 seconds left in the final period but the Talk n Text tropang Texters still manage to score 4 points off a free throw from Harvey and a 3 point play from Japeth Aguilar to secure a win against Petron Blaze Boosters. The game was very close up to the end game and had the Petron leading 78-76 off a three 3-point shot by Alex Cabagnot 12.8 seconds left on the clock.

Weisntein on the other court goes for a drive and missed a lay-up but Harvey was their to grabbed the rebound and got a crucial foul from Arwind Santos. Carey sanked in his first free throw making the score 78-77 but missed the 2nd attempt. But the was the key factor on last nights game. Japeth who came off the bench after being seated for a long time because of so many lapses he committed on the first 3 quarters got the rebound, shoot the ball to the ring for a 3-point play.

The Texters proved that even though they lost their key players because of injury that they still have the heart of a champion. Jimmy Alapag and Jason Castro was being pulled out of the game again due to injury but the other Texters didn't lost their composure and manage to win this crucial game against Petron Blaze.

Ginebra extends to a 3 game winning streak: Won over Meralco 81-71


Ginebra extends its game winning streak to 3 as they defeated the Meralco Bolts 81-71 last night. After the game four(4) of Ginebra players scored in double figures Cortez (14), Tubid (13), Caguioa (13) and Villanueva (11). During the game Ginebra defense is very notable as they held down the Bolts to 27 points only on the first half and that is the key factor that help them win the game.

The Bolts despite being held down to 27 points on the first still managed to put some good scoring on the 2nd half. And doesn't permit the Gin Kings to pull away that easily and had only the Kings on a 2 point lead at 64-66. But that was the closest the Bolts can go after Ginebra pull away with Cortez, Villanueva, Caguioa, Tubid and Willy Wilson teamed up to a 13-2 run that gave the Kings a 79-66 lead with 1:46 left to play.
